General Information

Arrival

We aim to get you into your campsite as quickly as possible however there may be queues when you enter the site. We will be doing our best to minimize delays but you can help out by making sure you have your tickets ready to be scanned. If your friends have your tickets make sure you organise to meet them outside the grounds to get your tickets. Tickets don’t have to be printed – we can scan from your mobile device.

Collection of Tickets – Box Office

Collection of tickets is available from the Millmerran Visitor Information Centre, Corner Mary and Edward Street Millmerran. The Information Centre will be open from 9am – 4pm.  You MUST have your tickets with you to enable entry into the Showgrounds.

Campgrounds

Because of limited use, it is not possible for us to provide perfectly level camp sites with well manicured lawns and water taps to each site. Just remember that this is a showgrounds not a caravan park.

Campsite Sizes

The majority of campsites are approx. 12m x 6m (40ft x 20ft).  Campsites in the Red Section Rows B to T are larger @ approx. 12m x 7m (40ft x 23ft), and a number of powered sites are 12m x 7m.

Facilities

While we continue to improve the facilities please remember that our camping grounds are used only a few times a year. Toilet and shower facilities are adequately basic. Peak times for shower queues are in the mornings and later afternoons so please avoid these times if you don’t want to wait.

Weather

Spring on the Darling Downs can be unpredictable and all we can say is – expect the unexpected! Come prepared for warm to hot days and cool to cold nights. You should prepare for any weather occasion.

Water

Water is a precious commodity at Millmerran. We would appreciate if everyone would join with us in conserving water in the following ways:

  •     Restrict yourself to one shower a day
  •     Turn the water off when brushing your teeth
  •     Please bring some water with you – full tanks when you arrive
  •     The water tap near your campsite cannot be hooked up to your van.  They are there for everyone to use.

Those are the basics and we appreciate your efforts in conserving water where possible.

Keep your valuables safe

Theft can be a problem as at any large event so please do not bring anything of value to the festival other than what is absolutely necessary. All valuables remain the responsibility of the camper.

Expect noise, bring earplugs

Campsites near the festival stage areas and in other areas may hear music from the festival precinct until the late hours of the night. Fellow campers and festival volunteers may be up and about all day and night, with vehicles moving around from early in the morning. Please bring your ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.
